We are reaching out to inform you of an upcoming security enhancement that will be applied to your Yealink devices. This required update is part of our ongoing efforts to improve system security and reduce the risk of unauthorized access.
What is changing:
We are implementing an updated device authentication process that introduces an additional layer of validation and enhances how devices securely receive their configuration on Monday, July 27th, from 11:00 PM until Tuesday, July 28th, at 3:00 AM EDT
Why this change is being made:
This enhancement helps reduce the risk of credential exposure, prevent potential fraud, and ensures a more secure and reliable device provisioning process.
What to expect:
- Devices may experience a brief reboot during the update
- Devices should automatically reconnect after the reboot
- No action is required unless you use custom provisioning systems
